Wednesday 6th December saw the brand new single “WINDRUSH” released and what a day!

The single certainly caught the minds of the public, who made it The Skapones' biggest ever “hit”!

The way music moves about in the download charts is very fluid and changes in real time, but “WINDRUSH” crashed straight into the UK Reggae Charts at No.2 and within an hour hit NUMBER ONE, where it stayed for 36 HOURS! A really amazing feat in this day and age for a complete DIY band BUT not only did it tear up the Reggae charts, it actually made it to 115 in the NATIONAL DOWNLOAD CHARTS where it mixed with all genres including people like Ed Sheeran and “the big guns” of modern music.

Thank you so much to all of you who downloaded the single, which 20% of sales is donated to the Windrush Foundation charity. A new chapter in Skapones history was made and its all down to you our supporters.
