That timeless classic “Volare", made famous by Dean Martin was originally recorded by us a couple of years ago for The Specialized Project's “OUR WAY” tribute boxset to the Rat Pack - where ska bands from all over the globe contributed over 70 tracks to raise funds for Specialized's various projects. This track simply couldnt fit on the album so enjoy FOR FREE -  It was always strangely popular live in concert.

Undoubtedly, one of the best ska festivals so far this year has been the Sheffield Ska All Dayer at the Network venue in Sheffield. Not only did the guys play alongside bands like King Hammond, Buster Shuffle, Natural Rhythm , Lord SkaMan, and King Effers and won lots of new fans and sold lots of merch from their hi octane performance, they were on the same bill as Specials legend and 2Tone Records creator Jerry Dammers who was Djing alongside organisers the DJ crew at Trojan Explosion . Jerry was in fine fettle and very complimentary, sharing jokes and stories with The Skapones. A wonderfully run event. Thank you to everyone who cheered and bought merch and thanks to Jerry for giving us 2Tone.

The guys had an amazing time on tour in Ireland, and the reception was brilliant. The warmth of Belfast and it's crowd was equalled in Dundalk and at the end the packed house at The Grand Social in Dublin for the Dublin Ska Festival. It was perfect in many waysand as ever, the Emerald Isle never let them down, and the guys hope to return in 2026.

March 2025 sees the release of the forthcoming 21st single by The Skapones entitled  “The Fear”!  Brand new, the new material will be backed by a faster mix of “Real Gangster Time”, how it should have been!

This will be the title track of the next Skapones album that is already being written. Dave Moran again has come up trumps with the artwork. The new material will be another step in progress from the multi faceted “Ascension” album. Stay tuned and get a taste with “The Fear” coming March 2025!
